The University of Fribourg awards scholarships to doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers living and working outside of Switzerland, who wish to complete a research stay at Unifr for five, respectively three, months.

• Doctoral students: monthly stipend of CHF 1900 for up to 5 months.
• Postdoctoral researchers: monthly stipend of CHF 2700 for up to 3 months.

There are two calls every year:

• 30 June for stays starting the following 1 February at the earliest
• 28 February for stays starting on the following 1 September at the earliest
